By 2025, Rescue Recon envisions to be the standard model in training and implementation of Emergency Management in the Philippines.

OBJECTIVES

Rescue Recon shall be guided by the following objectives to reach its vision:

  • Conduct local and international Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response.
  • Partner and coordinate with local and international agencies related to emergency preparedness and disaster risk reduction.
  • Provide quality disaster and emergency preparedness training to public, private and government entities.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism in the EMS field as role models for the younger generations.

Advocate of Laws Related to Risk Reduction Management

Republic Act 10121 or the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction Management Act of 2010 requires LGUs to create their own Emergency Response Team (ERT) to establish capability in responding to local emergencies.  

Republic Act 5487 regulates the organization and operation of private detective, watchmen or security guards’ agencies.  It enhances training in physical security of all domestic physical assets, which includes access control, surveillance, alarm monitoring and others.

Philippine Occupational Safety and Health Code of 2004 and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Occupational Safety and Health Standards which regulate occupational safety and health practices in the workplace. Personal safety, health, environmental safety, equipment safety, process safety, product safety, security of people and property are becoming more interrelated and create an expanded role for OSH professionals. OSH professional’s missions and objectives are also geared towards providing security and protection to life and property.

Presidential Decree No. 1152 or the Philippine Environment Code which aims to achieve and maintain such levels of air quality as to protect public health; and to prevent to the greatest extent practicable, injury and/or damage to plant and animal life and property, and promote the social and economic development of the country. This includes the conservation, management, development, protection and proper use of our natural resources.
